This is just a quick post to announce that Tropical Storm Debby has formed in the central Gulf of Mexico. Advisories have been issued by The National Hurricane Center. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect from the mouth of the Pearl River west to Morgan City, LA. This warning DOES NOT include the metropolitan New Orleans area.
We will post a video update with detailed information on TS Debby sometime this evening. A further analysis of Debby's intensity and track will be posted later tonight or tomorrow morning after some new model runs. Please see the post below this one for the latest analysis.
